Pedagogias da rebelião: Revisitando «Asia-Latinoamérica como método»

Este artigo revisita a proposta «Ásia-América Latina como método» para refletir sobre a posição precária de sua autora asiático-latino-americana no meio acadêmico estadunidense, numa posição que se baseia nas interseções de sobrevivência, comunidade e responsabilidade. Narrando sua própria trajetória pessoal, o artigo destaca a importância de centralizar as experiências vividas, enfatizando a necessidade de uma pedagogia e práxis acadêmicas fundamentadas na responsabilidade ética para com as comunidades asiático-latino-americanas. Essa teoria incorporada recapitula e expande os principais argumentos da conceitualização inicial de «Ásia-América Latina como método» e conclui com uma proposta para levar a sério a vibrante energia das diásporas asiáticas na América Latina, que desafiam o regime hegemônico da produção de conhecimento disciplinar. A complexa vitalidade diaspórica, que não pode ser extraída, mercantilizada ou capturada pelas estruturas do nacionalismo neoliberal, multicultural e imperial, exige pedagogias de rebeldia que desenterrem afinidades insurgentes e imaginem futuros queer.
