Dossier Coordinators
Special Issue Coordinator Responsibilities and Submission Guidelines
The coordinators of selected special issues will collaborate with the General Editor and be responsible for the following tasks:
-
Issuing the call for papers—in Spanish, English, and Portuguese—and promoting it, clearly and concisely outlining the objectives of the special issue.
-
Proposing expert reviewers to the General Editor in the relevant field of the special issue. All reviewers must be confirmed by the coordinators and available to evaluate articles for the dossier.
-
Participating in the internal editorial review of each manuscript before external peer review (double-blind) is initiated.
-
Informing invited authors that all submitted manuscripts must comply with the journal’s submission guidelines and will be subject to a blind peer-review process.
-
Collaborating with the Editorial Team and two members of the Editorial Board in selecting the manuscripts to be included.
-
Suggesting two reviewers per submission. Reviewers must be doctoral candidates or hold a doctoral degree and have expertise in the subject matter. Each external reviewer may evaluate a maximum of two articles.
-
Co-authoring the introductory article for the dossier, situating the state of the art of the addressed topic and highlighting the innovative contributions of the included articles.
-
Managing the visual identity of the dossier (e.g., cover image), ensuring compliance with image copyright regulations.
-
Performing a final editorial check, if required by the journal, in accordance with provided guidelines and deadlines.
-
Familiarizing themselves with and agreeing to the journal’s "Publication Ethics" section before issuing the call for papers.
-
Actively promoting the dossier after publication across all available channels and participating in additional dissemination efforts as requested by the journal.
