Abstract

The objective of this work is to discuss the relationships between theoretical and empirical frameworks related to sustainable behavior. A review of the literature on the cognitive and social dimensions of conservation actions is included, as well as a model proposal of the hegemonic factors with respect to the theoretical matrices, as well as the state of the matter regarding the categories that have been proposed in the study of the variable in question. An orientation towards the establishment of the determinants of the construct is observed, but a discussion about the differences and similarities of its dimensions in relation to the proximity of the administration of environmental and health security is recommended.
