Peer Review Process
Evaluation of Articles
Articles (essays and research results) received by the Revista GESTIÓN DE LAS PERSONAS Y TECNOLOGÍA, following the checklist application by the Editorial Assistant, will be evaluated by internal and external peer reviewers to the University, who will issue a report regarding the publication or non-publication of the article. Peer reviewers may suggest changes and/or modifications to the articles. If the authors accept and make the suggested changes, the work will proceed to publication. Each article published in the journal will indicate the date of receipt and approval.
Criteria for Article Evaluation
Decisions regarding the publication of received articles will be based, preferably, on the following evaluation criteria:
- Relevance to the journal's goals and purposes in the fields of People and Technology.
- Scientific quality and/or academic perspective, preferably of the “Research Results” type.
- Originality.
- Clarity in argumentation and presentation of postulates, approaches, viewpoints, etc.
- Compliance with presentation conditions as defined in the author instructions.
ARTICLE FORMAT AND GENERAL PREPARATION
- The article title must be written in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
- Exceptionally, articles in English will be accepted for publication, but no more than one article per edition.
- The article (research results and essays) must have a length between 15 to 20 letter-sized pages (including graphics, tables, citations, and bibliographic sources).
- The pages should be formatted with 2.5 cm margins (left, right, top, and bottom), Arial font size 12, and 1.5 line spacing.
- The work may include color elements such as graphs, tables, or diagrams.
- The article should be submitted electronically without author information. Author details (name, academic degrees, ORCID, research experience in the topic, workplace, email, phone number [optional], city, and country) should be provided on a separate page.
- Up to four authors will be accepted per article.
- The article must be unpublished. It can only have been presented at a congress, seminar, or meeting as a presentation. At the same time, submitting the article to Revista Gestión de las Personas y Tecnología implies the obligation of the author(s) not to submit it simultaneously to other publications.
- Authors must submit an originality letter stating that the article has not been presented or published by any other journal of a similar nature. A suggested format will be sent to the author via email once the article is received.
Structure for “Research Results” Articles:
- The article must be preceded by an abstract of half a page in length (keeping the same margins, font type, size, and line spacing) in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
- 3 to 4 keywords should be provided beneath the abstract in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
- The structure will be: Introduction, development of the work (considering three parts: 1. Theoretical and/or empirical background supporting the article; 2. Research methodology used; 3. Results and their discussion), conclusions, and bibliographic references (see below).
Structure for “Essay Type” Articles:
- The “Essay Type” article must be preceded by an abstract of half a page in length (keeping the same margins, font type, size, and line spacing) in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
- 3 to 4 keywords should be presented beneath the abstract in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
- “Essay Type” articles will be organized as follows: Introduction, development of the theme or topic, conclusions, and bibliographic references (see below).
Both "Research Results" and "Essay Type" articles may optionally include supporting elements such as tables, charts, graphs, and clarifying notes.
Bibliographic References and Notes
- Bibliographic references and notes should appear at the end of the article, using sequential numbering as they appear in the text, following the APA system, 7th edition (Available at: https://normas-apa.org/).
