Palimpsesto is a biannual publication of multidisciplinary character of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Santiago de Chile that was born in the year 2004 in the Department of History of the USACH. From the year 2015 begins a second period attached to the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Santiago, becoming a space for the dissemination of studies focused on Chile and Ibero-America, addressing problems of social, political, historical and cultural interest. After a process of reflection and internal evaluation of the local and regional environment, the journal decided to turn its objectives and scope towards the promotion and dissemination of knowledge production in the field of Gender Studies and its intersections with other critical fields of social sciences and humanities.
In this context, we announce that as of 2/2025 (Volume 15, No. 26), Palimpsesto will only publish works related to this field of studies, it will maintain its character as a biannual, open access journal, and its articles will continue to be peer reviewed under the “double blind” scheme.
