Pollination is a regulating ecosystem service. Studies on commons analyses the various governance approaches that enable the successful management of territorially delimited, common-use resources. The research objective was to analyses beekeeping activity from the perspective of common goods, with a focus on framing pollination as one of them. This study is based on a qualitative analysis approach to account for the beekeeping countrywide scenario, from the perspective of different actors associated with it. The main findings reveal the practice of transhumance. Furthermore, even if transhumance is not practiced, bees always have flight autonomy and move beyond the territory where their hives are located. The main findings reveal the practice of transhumance. Furthermore, even if transhumance is not practiced, bees always have flight autonomy and move beyond the territory where their hives are located. This condition invites reflection on the expansion of the research of the governance ways in common goods, by considering some commons with their own agency, as the bees’ case.
