La habilidad empática del equipo y el desempeño de proyectos en obras civiles

La creciente complejidad de proyectos de obras civiles requiere nuevas habilidades en los equipos. La empatía está emergiendo como una habilidad que favorece a la colaboración e integración de los equipos. Este trabajo investiga si la habilidad empática del equipo se relaciona con el desempeño de proyectos en obras civiles. El trabajo se realizó en seis proyectos. El método fue mixto, en una primera parte se aplicaron 148 encuestas para medir la empatía y luego se realizaron 23 entrevistas para medir el desempeño. Como resultado se evidencia una correlación positiva entre las habilidades empáticas del equipo y el desempeño de proyectos. La investigación provee información sobre los niveles actuales de habilidad empática en los equipos, lo que conlleva a concluir que existe margen para mejorar el desempeño.
